St. Clair County GIS Web Mapping

BKI was selected by St. Clair County to implement an internal County-maintained mapping service to publish GIS data for the public via the internet. St. Clair County was publishing GIS data over the internet through a third-party vendor which was hosted off-site.  This project accomplished several goals.  First, we upgraded the web-mapping technology to the latest available software.  Second, we matched or exceeded the functionality of the existing web publishing system.  Third, the web hosting functions were moved from off-site to an internal County-maintained server which allowed the County to connect to and publish “live” property and other GIS data.  Finally, control of the published maps was relegated to the County allowing them to modify the presentation of the mapping data as they deemed necessary.
