Jefferson County Program Management Database Services

Jefferson County Program Management

BKI was tasked to provide general GIS support for Jefferson County’s Sewer Infrastructure Management System (SIMS) as a task amendment to an existing Program Management contract.  Data development services included populating key attribute data from as-built contract drawings, adjusting sewer manholes to GPS located information, and correcting data errors identified by County personnel.  Data management services included reconciling and posting changes to the default database version and verifying that SIMS data was properly backed up on a regular basis.  Database maintenance tasks included supporting the work order management system located at the maintenance dispatch center, updating the SIMS data model as required for system modifications, and keeping the databases tuned for optimal performance.  BKI also provided support in making GIS presentations to Federal, State, and local authorities including SIMS demonstrations and various levels of sewer system reporting such as asset inventories.
