Jefferson Parish Correctional Center

BKI was contracted by the Jefferson Parish President's Office to provide design services and construction administration for a 482-bed expansion and total infrastructure upgrade of the existing correctional center. The project consisted of the development of construction drawings and specifications; construction administration for the correctional center's expansion; and complete renovation and upgrade of existing inmate booking, property storage, kitchen, medical facility and laundry facilities for the entire correctional center population. Construction administration duties included review of shop drawings, clarification and design changes, review of monthly contractor's invoices, preparing contract change orders, full-time resident inspaction, and coordination of the testing laboratory.
