Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc. is one of the foremost authorities in Drainage Pumping Station design in the Gulf South Region. Over the past 30 years, BKI has led the design on more than 35 stations ranging in pumping capacities from 150 – 4,000 cubic feet of water per second with additions to pump stations up to 12,500 cfs. Designs can incorporate well proven pumping station hydraulics standards, newer United States Army Corps of Engineers requirements and USACE developed modern formed suction intakes, as well as the application hydraulic of physical and computer models to help fine tune final engineering designs. BKI has successfully applied numerous types of drainage pumps (12’ horizontal, 12’ flowpot, 8’ vertical, etc), drivers(diesel engine and electric motor), intake screen cleaning systems, backflow prevention designs, and is familiar with the various auxiliaries required for the construction of reliable, effective, drainage stations. This experience coupled with our drainage system design abilities make BKI an excellent choice when drainage and flood protection design services are needed.
