Holt Middle School Site Selection

The Tuscaloosa County Board of Education needed a new middle school to serve the residents in the Cottondale and Holt communities. BKI was contracted to provide the site design for the Davis-Emerson Middle School including construction plans, specifications, estimates, construction administration, and resident inspection.

The project consisted of the design of a site plan for the 50 acre site. Site plans included a grading plan, sewer design, water system design, drainage system design and layout, permitting, and coordination with local governments. BKI was responsible for the entrance road, parking facilities, recreational facilities, and building pad final grades.
