Boasso Development Site Clearing and Restoration

BKI designed the site clearing and disposal, demolitions of portions of existing pot lines and related structures, utilities, drainage improvements, site paving and filling pot lines with granular materials and compacted Class I Base Course (12" thick) and concrete floor with reinforcement for 4 buildings earmarked to remain and courtyards in between. Site preparation of the Chalmette Terminal for reuse by Boasso International for use as an industrial tank maintenance facility. The site will be utilized as a marshalling yard for trucks delivering and picking up refurbished transport tanks after they have been cleaned, inspected and repaired by the operator, Boasso International. BKI provided preliminary and final plans, specifications and cost estimates as well as construction administration services for the complete restoration of this industrial site to serve the needs of the new transit.
