 Burk-Kleinpeter,
Inc. (BKI) prepared an engineering report,
complete with hydraulic and hydrologic analysis,
drawings, and cost estimates for various drainage
projects in the City, including the West Diversion
Canal, City Barn Pump Station and collection system, Dellwood Pump Station and collection system, W-14
Canal improvements and W-14 Canal outfall pumping
station, Robert Road Detention Pond, Highway 11
Detention Pond, and other individualized drainage
improvements for neighborhoods with repetitive
flooding problems in the City of Slidell.
In conjunction with the recommendations made for the
above projects, BKI developed construction cost
estimates for each and a recommended priority list
of drainage improvements for the City.
The recommendations were subsequently funded through
a Citywide Drainage Issue and construction of many
of the projects has been completed.
