32nd Street Widening, Williams Blvd. to Duncan Canal

Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc. (BKI) was contracted by the City of Kenner to provide engineering design services, including complete subsurface drainage improvements, for the widening of an existing two-lane street to a four-lane boulevard for access to a new regional shopping center.

BKI produced the design plans and specifications, and provided all construction administration and resident inspection services.

The firm also completed an upgrade of the subsurface drainage system, which included stormwater drainage to the Duncan Canal and utility relocations to accommodate the roadway and other associated drainage improvements.

Construction costs for this project were approximately $1.3 million
