 BURK-KLEINPETER, INC. was selected
by the City of Shreveport to provide construction
administration and construction management services
for the renovation of the Independence Bowl Stadium
in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The $30 million renovation project consisted of
updating restroom and concession areas; demolishing
an existing locker room and replacing it with a new,
modern facility; installing a sky box; improving
parking and adding 12,000 new seats to the south end
zone area.
BKI monitored and reviewed the work of the multiple
prime contractors responsible for the renovations.
The firm provided all of the necessary construction
management and administration services to insure
successful completion of the project, including the
review and clarification of shop drawings, tracking
the project schedule and eliminating conflicts
between contractors, review of the budget and
monthly pay estimates, review of all change orders,
and coordination with design architect and testing
laboratory.
BKI also provided full time resident inspection
services.
The total construction cost for this project was
$21,000,000.
